About Le Rosey
Le Rosey was established in 1880 in the town of Rolle. Educating 420 students on two campuses, Le Rosey is a bilingual English/French school. The majority of students study parts of their curriculum in both languages and the School’s 300 staff are either English or French speakers. Some 20 languages are offered at the School and, with 70 nationalities represented in the student body, the School is authentically international.
All students study during the winter term at the School’s ski resort in Gstaad in the German-speaking Canton of Berne. Students experience a world-leading winter sports programme and live in chalets at Gstaad from January to March, spending the rest of the academic year at the Rolle campus.
Le Rosey’s culture is one of passion for the values espoused by its founder – courtesy, relaxed civility, friendship and solidarity among students and their teachers, self- respect and respect for others, intelligent discipline, courage to face challenges and a willingness to overcome them. Le Rosey aims to develop every talent through wide-ranging academic, sporting, artistic, humanitarian, environmental and social programmes.
