Our client is a leading multinational company in the manufacturing industry. Throughout its history the company has established itself as a key supplier for products that are used in building maintenance, energy and manufacturing industries, mainly to the professional end-user. Our client has 30’000 employees and counts with about 130 subsidiaries.

Your Tasks
As a “Strategic Sourcing Manager – Mechanical Components” you will be responsible for the following scope of duties:

• Responsible for procurement management for mechanical components


• Amongst other tasks you will liaise with the engineering department and the marketing department to established yourself as their trusted partner related to the procurement of electrical and mechanical components. You will drive “make versus buy” initiatives and challenge constantly the status-quo


• As a member of the central procurement organization, you will work on the improvement of processes and make sure they are accepted and used across the organization


• You will be leading the process from contracting to evaluating suppliers  

Your Profile

You are distinguished by the following characteristics:

• You have an University degree in Business Administration or Engineering at Bachelor or Master level 


• You have at least 3 – 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing


• You are an independent worker able to manage your category as an entrepreneur and to influence both stakeholders and suppliers


• Strong skills in negotiations and leading project


• Fluency in English is required any other language is an advantage
