Role Overview


Be instrumental in the planning, implementation, and support of the system. The project manager will work with the partner NGO, the headquarter team & countries to successfully prepare & deploy the tool.


Project Overview


MEDAIR is implementing a web-based Supply Chain system across all locations starting in 2019. The real-time system will give more visibility and controls of daily operations. The Logistics department leads the overall project roll- out (in partnership with IT). The project manager will lead the planning, execution & monitoring of the implementation in a relationship with our partner NGO.


Workplace & Conditions


Medair Global Support Office, Ecublens, Switzerland. Up to 20% field visits.

Starting Date & Initial Contract Details


February 2019. Full time, 12-18 month minimum, renewable.


Key Activity Areas


General tasks



  • Responsibility for all stages and facets of the project life cycle, full responsibility for project deliverables, progression reporting and budgeting, stakeholder management, collaborations with project team across the world to deliver complex large-scale projects

  • Building a relationship with partner NGO and configuration of the system (catalog items creation, image customization, procedures set-up in the system per country, user access)

  • Develop a very detailed gap analysis of current vs. new system

  • Create execution planning, prerequisite & testing with the countries

  • Training relevant supply chain, finance and programming staff on the supply chain modules to ensure that they are ready for go-live;

  • Develop a communication plan for HQ & countries on progress and issues

  • Monitor the deployment and lessons learned across the organization

  • Ensure improvements and resolutions of technical problems & provide hyper care support to countries that are live.

  • Implement “train the trainer” exercises to expand the pool of support experts in the agency.


Responsibility



  • Project Management expert & extensive supply chain knowledge.

  • Experience in digitization with great affinity for the technical side.

  • Previous experience in the implementation of IT systems.

  • End-to-End Leadership of large-scale projects (A-Z).

  • Responsibility for all stages and facets of the project lifecycle.

  • Full responsibility for project deliverables, progression reporting and budgeting.

  • Stakeholder management.

  • Collaborations with project management team across the world to deliver complex large-scale projects.

  • Leadership of project team.

  • Client advisory and leadership.

  • Working technically, strategically and in an innovative name to deliver one of a kind projects.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (other languages are a benefit).

Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Professional certification(s) in supply chain a plus.

  • Project Management certification (ie PMP).

  • Strong working knowledge of English (spoken and written).

  • Strong working knowledge of French (spoken and written) is an asset.

FAQ


  • Minimum five years related experience, with at least two years international experience required. Demonstrated experience implementing and/or supporting Supply chain IT implementation.

  • Experience with an international development organization preferred.

  • Experience with Finance and Supply Chain business processes within Non- Governmental Organizations preferred.

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and travel across various time zones (i.e. Africa, Asia, US).

  • Basically Supply chain software understanding of configuration.

  • High project management & communication skills to work on cross functional role.

  • Independent self- motivated, analytical & project manager expert individual who can work with varying domestic and international stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of supply chain management is required. The position reports to the International Logistics & Supply Chain Manager.
