The inclusion of IT and technology will in future be even more crucial for the business success of Baloise and is therefore of high strategic relevance. In order to do justice to this development, the Baloise Group is expanding its existing Group structure in the first quarter of 2019 with a newly created corporate division, Group IT. The Group IT Architecture team will be an important component in this new corporate division. It will be responsible for the development of IT landscapes focusing on the harmonisation of cross-functional skills between the different Baloise business units. 

The following tasks also await you in your future role:

• Definition and implementation of Group-wide architectural and technical standards, strategies, principles, best practices and road maps for cross-functional areas with a collaborative approach


• Analysis of technological trends and support for innovations in the target landscape


• Support for architectural, cross-unit knowledge sharing


• Cooperation with all relevant partners to review the objectives and limitations of each solution and establish compliance with EA and EISA (Enterprise Information Security Architecture)


• Identification of implementation risks and information security risks and analysis of potential implications for the company


• Definition of IT and security solutions across the company and design of security solutions for business IT and cloud


• Generation of business cases for security frameworks, technologies and security management in cooperation with business/project teams

As Senior IT Security Architect, you should also possess the following:

• University degree ideally in information technology, natural sciences, business/economics or equivalent practical experience


• Long-standing and extensive IT security experience 


• Architectural spectrum: domain, application, service, infrastructure and security architecture as well as business IT alignment (5-10 years)


• At least 5 years’ professional experience in a management role as security architect 


• Professional experience within complex and international organisations (matrix organisation)


• Knowledge of security architecture frameworks (e.g. SABSA) and security architecture of client applications and infrastructures


• Knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements, preferably in Switzerland & EU


• Fluent German and English
