We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to join the Group Enterprise Architecture Team. You will be responsible to shape and drive architecture for the Swiss Re Group Functions such as Group Finance and Group Risk Management. You will actively contribute to implementing the Swiss Re strategy to make better use of data and becoming a digital knowledge company.


This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a cross-functional, global and dynamic environment with colleagues across Business Functions and Information Technology, applying end-to-end architecture development frameworks and consulting methodologies. Effectively lead, execute or support enterprise-wide and cross-functional architecture improvement initiatives and maintain the long-term view in order to meet key business objectives and fit the needs of modern technologies


 


Responsibilities and Expectations:



  • You will drive domain enterprise architecture for Group Finance and Group Risk Management

  • You will actively take part in IT and business domain projects contributing with your architectural insight

  • You will manage and communicate with a wide stakeholder group facilitating the alignment with business partners and SMEs as well as related functions such as function-specific architecture and integration teams

  • You understand the importance of the business and IT strategies and the evolving business needs with regards to technologies, capabilities, processes and information requirements

  • You will collaborate with partners globally to identify improvement opportunities, propose initiatives and drive change in collaboration with business and IT experts

  • You can work under pressure in a complex environment and you are able to step back and grasp which areas to focus on. You are curious to learn new things and change excites you

We enable the effective end-to-end change focusing on:



  • Designing a coherent enterprise by ensuring architecture is aligned to the strategy and operating model

  • Building an architecture capability in the firm that provides a compass to ensure long-term architecture agility and on building architecture relevant skills and people networks.

  • We drive transformation end-to-end being involved in key initiatives and projects of high strategic relevance. To do so, we provide various architecture services:

  • Business Process and Capability Architecture

  • Information Architecture

  • Application Architecture

  • Governance Design and Mentorship

  • Solution Architecture

About you:  


Qualification and Experiences:



  • Master or PhD degree in computer science, engineering, natural sciences or similar study

  • Several years of experience working in the financial services industry with focus on Finance and / or Risk Management

  • Strong leadership and project management expertise

  • Consistent track record in actively leading and driving transformation

  • Experience in data and process governance is a plus

  • Experience in digitalisation and analytics is a plus


Personal Characteristics and Skills:



  • Strong leadership skills: taking ownership, motivate others, establish a culture of continuous improvement

  • Possess core knowledge and skills required for all levels of architecture (Capability Modelling, Business Process Architecture, Information Architecture and Application Architecture)

  • Business analysis skills by having the ability of high level of abstraction, fast understanding and conceptual thinking

  • Strong visualization skills and ability to communicate complex subjects to different communities (MS Office, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint)

  • Stakeholder management and consultancy skills to influence on senior management level

  • Developing an environment in which people share information and communicate clearly, candidly and openly by applying strong presentation skills

  • Passion to own and deliver outcomes

  • Agile mindset, ability to navigate ambiguity

  • (Re-)insurance business understanding is a plus


Language requirements:



  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English, further languages are an asset
