In order to support our Travel Operations Department, FIFA is seeking a flexible and initiative
Travel Project Manager
Your duties


  • Leading project management and FIFA event coordination in relation to flights, accommodation and transportation; participating in events in Switzerland and abroad

  • Leading event group and coordination of work between the project team in Switzerland and abroad

  • Product inspections with local partners to guarantee team expertise

  • Event budgeting

  • Development of internal IT projects with the support of direct superior

  • Definition of booking processes (flight allotments, group bookings, charters, hotels, transportations) for tournaments, events, seminars and workshops in Switzerland and abroad

  • Participating in contract negotiations with service providers (airlines, hotels, rental cars, ground transportation, trains, airport services, etc.) and handling with official authorities (immigration, air-/landside management)

  • Providing first-class service in business travel organisation for employees and external parties in accordance with the FIFA service levels (flights, accommodation, ground transportation, VIP services, etc.); organisation of trips for FIFA VVIP and VIP clients to the highest quality standards

  • Being part of the 24/7 emergency telephone service

Our requirements


  • Completed apprenticeship in a (business) travel agency or commercial school and internship in the travel industry; further education in tourism, event or general management

  • At least four years’ experience in the business travel industry (travel, accommodation and ground transportation) and a minimum of two years’ experience in project and event management; experience in budgeting and accounting; distinguished geographical knowledge

  • Excellent skills in GDS, preferably GDS Amadeus; strong knowledge of ticketing and fare rules is a must

  • Business fluency in both English and Spanish or English and French; knowledge of other languages are a strong asset; clear communication skills in different languages

  • Very strong customer service skills and a passion for high-end customer service is a must

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, even when under severe pressure

  • Flexible approach to working hours and ability to embrace a complex, busy and very dynamic work environment

  • Good negotiation skills and intercultural sensitivity; independent working style

  • Motivation and interest in working abroad
