We are offering an opportunity for a Scientific Manager to join our global team in Basel.
In this role you lead and drive the biomarker development efforts supporting the Genentech/Roche pipeline in hematological malignancies.
You provide strategic guidance and technical expertise and ensure the implementation and execution of biomarker and Companion Diagnostics (CDx) strategies in global development and medical affairs studies and projects (sponsored studies, investigator-initiated studies and research collaborations).
You collaborate with the Global Medical Affairs function and affiliated organizations within Medical Affairs in support of the development and commercialization of Genentech/Roche Oncology therapeutics.
As single point of contact for Affiliates you take care of questions translational research/ CDx development.
You provide expert scientific advice to commercial teams in connection with the launch and commercialization of pharmaceuticals with a Companion Diagnostic.
You identify and set up strategically and/or scientifically relevant biomarker collaborations to address data gaps in the context of drug and CDx development and implementation with key investigators and therapeutic experts and thought leaders.
Partnering with the International Medical Director you critically review clinical and biomarker study proposals from therapeutic experts and develop recommendations for the organization.
You represent the company as member or co/chair in external committees such as translational research committees. You do publish in high quality scientific, technical or medical journals and represent OBD externally through presentations at key internal and external meetings and conferences.
You also lead the development of biomarker-related educational and training programs (e.g. for internal use at the global and Affiliate level, physicians, pathologists).
