Seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial management as well as the overall operations of the foundation, reporting directly to the Foundation Council. The position is based in Zug, Switzerland.

RESPONSIBILITIES IN FINANCE AND OPERATIONS
Manage the full financial organization including financial planning & analysis, asset management, tax planning, accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Manage all financial and legal aspects of our cryptographic token DOT, the native token of the Polkadot network
Collaborate with the executive team in the strategic planning process including developing and updating operating and grant-giving budgets
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and provide financial performance analysis for the Foundation Council
Lead financial year closure with the external accountant and the yearly audit with the foundation’s statutory auditor
Manage third party relationships with bankers, tax, corporate and employment lawyers, asset managers, statutory auditors, accountants and vendors
Oversee with the Legal Counsel the risk and compliance efforts, and lead any required interaction with the federal supervisory and other authorities
Oversee with the Head of HR the payroll accounting as well as efficiency and compliance of the HR processes
Oversee with other business leaders the in-time and in-budget delivery of projects by service providers
Manage the administrative organisation and ensure an adequate and secure setup of the foundation’s physical and digital infrastructure
Develop and further grow the Finance and Operations team
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years prior experience serving as CFO, COO or in a senior management position; a plus: experience with the Swiss Foundations and supervisory authorities
Outstanding managerial skills and experience leading and growing different operations departments, overseeing 10+ employees
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills, ideally proven in a professional services environment (Big4 or top-tier management consulting)
Proven ability to lead and grow the organisation in a startup environment
Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to set the right course within an uncertain regulatory environment
University Master's degree in finance, financial engineering, business administration or business engineering; CFA / CPA are a plus
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
High integrity independent and individually motivated, team player
A PLUS
Experience with cryptocurrencies, crypto token taxation, token sales
Understanding of the core concepts and ideas of decentralization and blockchain industry
Strong personal interest to contribute to the Web 3.0 vision
