Currently to our Toblerone plant in Bern we are looking to hire:



Health Safety and Environment Manager


(fixed-term contract: 12-months)


The purpose of this role
 is to drive the Health Safety Environment (HSE) Cultural change in the Bern plant in order to develop interdependent teams. The HSE Manager implements, manages and co-ordinates all Health, Security, Safety and Environmental programs and processes at the Plant level to ensure compliance with local regulations and relevant Mondelez International policies, safe working places, sound environmental practices and prevent asset losses. She/he assures the continuous improvement of the plant (safety, quality, training, process, technical, organization, communication) by permanently challenging the status quo understood as a day to day activity within the Leadership Team.


Key responsibilities:

  • HSE Cultural Change: Coach and train the HSE Pillar Team in order to increase the HSE capabilities of the line teams as well as develop and roll out IL6S HSE Pillar Work Processes



  • Health, Security, Safety and Environment (HSSE) Management System: Customize, implement and maintain the HSE Management System and be most effective in local organization.



  • Health, Security, Safety and Environment (HSSE) Process: Define and implement a local Health Safety and Environment management process in order to provide: safe working conditions and, through this, reduction of accidents and increase of safety awareness of all employees.



  • Risk Assessment: Ensure that specific Health, Security, Safety and Environmental risk assessments (e.g. operation interruption, dust explosion,...) are performed to minimize accident risks and prevent asset losses and environmental issues.



  • Environmental Standards: Ensure implementation of meaningful environmental standards/policies to ensure that the Manufacturing Site is acting as a responsible citizen in society.



  • Training and Coaching: Ensure health, environmental and safety awareness throughout the Plant organization through organization and conducting required trainings, coaching and organizing awareness campaigns / activities



  • Team Management: manage and develop a direct report


 


Qualifications

 

  We would like you to have the following qualities:



  • University degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related fields

  • 1-2  years of experience in industrial Health, Safety and Environmental projects and risks prevention

  • Good knowledge of International HSE Standards (e.g. OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001) and local HSE regulations

  • Understanding and experience in driving cultural change

  • Very good German skills are required ; English skills
