Head of BGE Sensor & Reagent Operations

As Head of BGE Sensor & Reagent Operations, you will be responsible for BGE Sensor & Reagent Operations organization located in Rotkreuz. You will ensure that the long-term key initiatives of Operations are understood, implemented and maintained in all levels of the organization. You establish and maintain an adequate organizational structure, provide adequate resources and actively participate in management reviews. Develop and drive a work culture committed to compliance, quality and customer focus. The Head of BGE Sensor & Reagent Operations reports to Roche Diagnostics Global Head of Operations, serves as a member of the Global Operations Leadership Team (GOLT), and leads the Rotkreuz BGE Sensor & Reagent Operations Leadership Team (BOLT).

As Head of BGE Sensor & Reagent Operations you will be responsible for:

• Manage the BGE Sensor & Reagent Operations in Rotkreuz, to supply the market with BGE products and achieve financial performance


• Develop the organization and define strategy based upon the Global Operations strategy


• Ensure access to innovative technologies, new content for existing platforms and services


• Coach partners (incl. third parties) to implement an adequate and agreed upon quality management system or equivalent in order to meet required product quality standards, regulatory compliance, and reliability of supply


• 7 direct reports, 6 departments


• Products: appr.100, Production volume/Budget numbers: appr. 55M CHF

To be successful in this role you fulfil the following criteria:

• Technical education in natural science (Biology, Chemistry)


• 10 years’ experience within the medical device industry, life science industry


• 6 years’ experience in leadership positions with demonstrated effectiveness in recruiting, motivating, managing and developing personnel


• Experience in working in a GMP regulated environment


• Knowledge and experience in strategic planning, business planning, finance


• Proven track record in strategic agility, decision making, achieving results and managing change and complexity


• Very good communication and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced matrix environment
