As an independent assurance and advisory function within the Roche Group, Group Audit assists the two core businesses, Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics, as well as group functions to manage their business risks and to improve the efficiency and compliance of their operations. As part of the wider Group Audit function, the North America and Group Functions team supports all Group Functions and commercial operations for all three divisions (Pharma, Diagnostics and Diabetes Care) in North America. We are a multicultural and dynamic team based in Basel, Switzerland.
 


As an Audit Director North America and Group Functions



  • You will lead a team of approx. 10 auditors and be part of the Group Audit & Risk Advisory leadership team

  • You will be responsible to develop the risk-based internal audit plan for your competency team, which is the commercial region North America and the Group Functions (Group IT, Group Finance, Group HR, etc.). You will lead and deliver those internal audits and oversee the follow-up of audit findings. Besides commercial topics your area of responsibility spans across multiple disciplines, including:
    - IT infrastructure and networks
    - Application development (including cognitive technologies)
    - Cybersecurity
    -Data and information governance



  • Build and develop strong relationships and maintain communication channels to divisional, functional and/or regional management within your area of responsibility. Promote a strong risk, compliance and process efficiency culture and knowledge sharing across the Roche Group

  • Further develop the Internal Audit methodology, practice and processes

  • The position involves travel world-wide (approx. 30%)

     


Main requirements:



  • You have solid academic credentials (university degree) in business administration or as an economic computer scientist, an additional professional qualification (CIA, CPA or CISA) is an advantage. Further, you have 15 years of work experience of which 5–7 years as an Internal Auditor in the Pharma, Diagnostics or Lifescience sector

  • You bring a previous experience as a team lead

  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a must, further languages are an advantage

  • Solid technical acumen is required, while process and risk knowledge is a distinct advantage

  • Strong team player and excellent communication/influencing skills. Analytical skills, synthesis capabilities.

  • Willingness to operate in an international environment
