The webcast team is based in Kaiseraugst (Switzerland), South San Francisco (USA) and Indianapolis (USA) and provides a global service to Roche users in publishing video, audio and slide content as live or on-demand webcasts.
The internship in Kaiseraugst offers an insight into the daily business of the Global Webcast and Event Services team at Roche. It consists of several modules, covering the different areas as listed below and will last at least 6 months.

After an extensive introduction, you will be working in the following areas:

• Webcast video on demand post production. You will be handling video on demand productions by yourself (core module)


• Webcast preparation


• Webcast production (live)


• Webcast / Event coordination


• KPI and Analytics


• Software Development

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work in the technical support department of the
large auditorium and in other meeting rooms, like the small auditorium or the meeting rooms
at the Convention Center Basel.

Your Profile

You are a Bachelor or Master student of Informatics, Busyness Information Systems, Media Informatics or an equivalent or related area like e.g. audio/visual technology. Also you bring openness and willingness and enthusiasm to work in a global team and willingness to learn and an open mind for a global company’s processes.

Further Qualifications:

• Programming skills like HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, PHP 7


• Understanding of frameworks for Web Development like Symfony


• Basic understanding of database, especially MySQL


• Beneficial is knowledge of development version-controlling-Git


• Beneficial is an advanced understanding of different operating systems like Linux, osX and Windows


• Good English language skills (written and spoken), German would be beneficial


• Knowledge in the audio-visuals area is an advantage

The start date for this internship is July/August 2018 or upon availability.
