Position description


The Direct Distribution Analyst is based in Zurich and reports to the Lufthansa Group Head of Direct Distribution Solutions. Direct Distribution through new distribution capabilities (NDC) play a vital role for LHG’s future distribution and offering capabilities, making sure LHG’s products are properly placed and easily accessible on different channels. The Direct Distribution Solution Analyst is responsible for the preparation and performance of business process analysis and the active technical provider management of large distribution aggregators and system providers.


Duties include monitoring of defined KPIs, contractual support and functional management of the development roadmap of the distribution system provider.


Your Duties



  • Technical Key Account management for global Aggregators, system providers and travel technology providers

  • Ensure delivery of  travel technology providers (solutions and services) in projects and daily operations

  • Initiate the escalation process with providers in projects and enable distribution solutions managers to effectively  implement new solutions   

  • Influence travel technology providers functional development roadmap to increase benefits for LHG solutions at efficient cost ratio 

  • Performance of business process analysis

  • Transformation of business needs into requirements, systems specifications and technical specifications

  • Relationship maintenance to ensure the flow of information

  • Support developing concepts for distribution solutions in cooperation with other internal stakeholders such as LHG Solutions, IT

  • Preparation of KPIs for the achievement of key performance targets by provider

  • Monitoring and enforcement of contractual agreements (invoices, SLAs, quality delivery)

  • Gathering and documentation of  business requirements

  • Project contribution as business process analyst for implementation of functional enhancements

  • Revision of the day-to-day progress of the project(s) and release initiatives with regard to time, budget, scope and quality, providing all time high quality integration support

  • Performance of business process testing and testing of new functionalities. Co-ordination of test planning with internal stakeholders such as IT and providers


Requirements



  • University degree or commercial or IT education in the airline or travel industry

  • Problem-solving abilities

  • Experience in business process analysis

  • First experience in project management

  • Experience in Business / IT alignment and/or Key Account Management

  • Experiences in negotiations and/or provider management with international providers

  • Broad expertise in commercial aviation processes

  • Strong analytical skills

  • High attention to detail

  • High willingness to travel

  • Ability to work across functional lines

  • Intercultural competence

  • Multi-hub and global coordination

  • Fluent in English / German

  • Strongly developed sense of responsibility, high level of commitment and ability to work under pressure
