Job description and responsibilities:


Lead and take accountability of major client relationships for Equatex. Work with Global Client Service teams to build trusted partnerships to make sure we retain clients and enhance the reputation of Equatex. To effectively cross sell and up sell across all Equatex products and services. Continually seek to enhance client Relationships and identify opportunities to grow the business, developing strategies and synthesising information to deliver solutions, which will provide added value to the client and create additional sales revenue for Equatex. Work with the Sales team and develop client specific strategies to enable the identification of potential opportunities and the prioritisation of client activities and the formulation of a game plan to support this. As part of this, develop key client relationships providing the opportunity for knowledge sharing and ideas generation.


The successful candidate ensures the quality, completeness and commercial basis of client requests filter before they go to service delivery teams for execution to ensure proper management of operations for multinational corporate clients in the administration of their Deferred Compensation Plans. The team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced person who demonstrates potential and is ambitious to take on and manage new responsibilities. The candidate must have the ability to digest complexity, do Event and project planning, maintain good client relationships, to ensure Equatex delivers a high level of service. The candidate must possess an excellent attention to detail, be an expert with data & spreadsheets, and be committed to manage various stakeholders in the company to ensure error-free processing. The role entails a hands-on approach from project planning to operational and administrative processing.


 


Key tasks of this role include:



  • Fully understand and articulate the range of products and services and have in-depth knowledge of Equatex current capabilities and subsequently match business opportunities with potential solutions and involve the relevant internal experts

  • Demonstrate ownership of the strategic client relationship. Create, maintain and retain client relationships spanning all relevant levels and areas within the client’s organisation

  • Ensure quality and completeness filter before client requests go to service delivery for execution

  • Ensure commercial filter before client requests go to service delivery for execution

  • Ensure event and project planning / management / coordination / monitoring and prioritisation of service requests

  • Be the client’s interface for regular and ad-hoc requests, ensure a proper analysis and execution by the service teams

  • Continually drive increased sales revenue i.e. identify, explore and secure additional opportunities to meet / exceed commercial targets

  • Pro-actively participates throughout the Sales & Bids renewal or business tender process, using Client insights and awareness to design innovative, commercially viable solutions to retain existing or secure new contracts

  • Conduct contract negotiation with the support of the legal departments

  • Monitor and ensure service level and client satisfaction

  • Provide recurring reporting to Chief Markets Officer of client status

  • Building a good working relationship with external key stakeholders in the administration of the plans such as the cash carrier, trustee and legacy plan administrator

  • Analysing clients’ plans and developing comprehensive solutions in close cooperation with all relevant internal and external stakeholders in order to set up system configuration and underlying processes.

  • Conducting presentations, leading client meetings and conference calls. Lead Client strategy, networking and sales forums and facilitate discussions


 


Qualifications, skills & knowledge:



  • Over 5 years of working experience in the Financial Services or Benefits and Compensation industry is an advantage

  • In minimum a Bachelor’s degree or similar level of education qualification

  • Excellent Sales skills – proven track record in maintaining and growing revenues and capturing new business

  • Proven track record in client facing roles and operations

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building

  • Commercial awareness

  • Strong negotiation and influencing

  • A strong communicator able to build relationships and effectively convey ideas to a variety of audiences

  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills

  • A good understanding of deferred compensations & benefits and pension schemes is an advantage

  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills. German language skills are an advantage

  • Experienced in MS Office such as Excel, PowerPoint and Access
