Our scientists are dedicated to research that develops innovative solutions to help increase crop productivity for farmers worldwide by sustainable intensification. They are integral to our research team that is tasked to help farmers being more efficient, control pests better, cope with unpredictable weather, break through yield barriers and ultimately bring in a profitable harvest.
Solving practical problems
We offer several biology internships based at our research and development center in Stein for highly-motivated students — currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in biology — who can bring scientific excellence and are excited by solving practical problems in biology. A valid residence and work permit for Switzerland, or the entitlement under an international treaty to obtain such (e.g. EU bilateral treaty) is required. Please note that no phD’s can be considered.
As a biology intern, you could be working on a wide range of topics in different research functions during a 4 to 6 months internship program, including:
Screening
Crop protection related fungal, insect and nematode Bioassays
Molecular biology/ applied Bioinformatics
Biocontrol
Whole plant phenotyping
Abiotic stress management
Soil science
Seed care
During these internships you may have the opportunity to:
