The successful candidate will investigate the role of media in the interplay between state, economy and public sphere. Possible research specialisms include theories of digital transformation, the analysis of communication networks, forms of production and organization of social media, trans-medial convergence, and media aesthetics.She or he will co-direct the "Media" concentration in the Contextual Studies program (www.unisg.ch/en/studium/darumhsg/kontextstudium /kontextstudium), will be committed to interdisciplinary research and teaching, and will cooperate with colleagues in the University's main disciplines. The languages of instruction are German and English.Applicants must have a PhD, first-rate publications, and outstanding university teaching experience.
