The Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering invite applications for aPhD position: Characterization and modelling of (multi-phase) granular systems
The primary objective of this PhD project is to develop and apply both experimental (optical and Magnetic Resonance Imaging based) and numerical techniques (Lagrangian and/or continuum modelling) to elucidate the underlying physics of a number of poorly understood phenomena in (multi-phase) granular systems.
The ideal candidate shall possess an excellent MSc degree in physics, electrical or mechanical engineering.
