Postdoctoral research position in Data Driven Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM)
Your mission :
The ICT for Sustainable Manufacturing group (ICT4SM, ict4sm.epfl.ch) of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) invites applications for a postdoc position to work on Data Driven Zero Defect Manufacturing. Our group is strongly involved in EU funded H2020 R&I projects in the areas of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Big Data Modelling and Analytics for Manufacturing with applications on high impact topics such as Predictive Maintenance and Zero Defect Manufacturing. Main duties and responsibilities include :
We expect our new colleague to take a prominent role in our efforts on the semantic modelling of Big Industrial Data collected from sensor networks and other heterogeneous sources in view of preparing them for analysis using state of the art AI algorithms.
He/she will be also responsible for the management of our activities in our H2020 projects as Work Package or Task Leader.
The position, which also comprises teaching duties at Bachelor or Master level, becomes available on April 1, 2019.
Your profile :
Applicants must hold a PhD degree obtained within the past 5 years and have a solid experience in Data Modelling and Analytics with emphasis on applications for Product Lifecycle Management, including Design and Manufacturing, Use & Maintenance and EOL. Start date :
