Institute for Regenerative Medicine
The Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IREM) is a research institute from the University of Zurich localized at the life-science campus in Schlieren. The mission of the institute to link basic research to clinical application by identification of disease pathomechanisms and the development of next-generation therapies for neurologic/neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Cell culture work (stem cells, neural precursors, neurons, cardiomyocytes)
• Execution of biochemistry and molecular biology experiments using various techniques including ELISA/MSD, PCR, cloning, plasmid preparation, Western blot and others
• Immunocyto- and Immunohistochemistry
• Preparation of virus such as Lentivirus or AAV
• In vivo experiments
• Contribution to the organization and maintenance of the laboratory and the cell culture
• Detailed documentation of the experimental work
80-100 %
• Trained Lab Technician or Master of Science (no higher degree)
• In-depth experience in cell culture work (especially stem cells) and molecular biological techniques
• 1+ years of previous experience in a research-intensive laboratory
• Good English skills, both oral and written
• Teamwork, commitment, sense of responsibility
