The Bank for International Settlements seeks a head for its Procurement and Payments unit. We are an international organisation promoting global monetary and financial stability, and a bank for central banks. You will support our mission by providing strategic leadership for our procurement operations, developing processes and ensuring the provision and payment of procurement services to the Bank. You will plan and manage the activities and resources of the Procurement teams, developing frameworks for monitoring procurement and contracts. You will ensure that the teams respond efficiently and effectively to customer needs. In addition, you will represent the Procurement unit with the Bank’s senior management, and will be a member of the Finance management team. We look forward to meeting candidates with extensive experience in the procurement field and with specialised knowledge in building or technology-related procurement. You will have experience leading teams, with gravitas and strong negotiation skills to help you persuade senior managers. In addition, you will have a university degree in a relevant field and be excellent in communicating in English. We offer a unique, highly rewarding, international work environment.
