The Opportunity

This position has the opportunity of joining a fast growing team and contribute to the core product of the business.This role will be part of the Footwear creation team based in Switzerland and collaborate closely with the Footwear Developer and Product Managers in an environment where innovation is essential. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the product team as a engineering resource by analyzing designs for manufacturability, production and material properties, offering economic and efficient solutions to achieve cost targets.


• Make early recommendations on product construction techniques and tooling solutions.


• Analyze, Create and/or organize the constructions of 2D/3D models and patterns to be used for the technical product description


• Work closely with the footwear design to elaborate outstanding functional design solutions


• Collaborate with the engineering teams in Vietnam on a regular basis to develop best practice and process efficiency project agendas.


• Ensure that each shoe is engineered and constructed to meet On quality standards

Besides being excited to be part of the team that is putting the fun into the run for millions of people, we hope you’ll also bring:

• College degree in related technical/engineering field


• Extensive CAD work experience. Rhino preferred, other 2D-3D CAD applications


• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a specialized category footwear technical capacity to include bottom tooling and pattern engineering, development and production. 


• Demonstrate knowledge of footwear engineering process, Asian production and RD&D processes.  


• Good knowledge of mold engineering preferred.


• Familiar with materials used in category specific footwear is preferred.


• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills (English, German, Chinese) preferred.
