About the team:

We are offering an opportunity to become part of a dynamic team, executing on the market expansion strategy of Corporate Solutions. Corporate Development is acting as strategic partner to the business, providing market insights and analytics, developing decision papers and leading implementation projects. We are looking for a high-energy personality to lead, coordinate and execute local and regional growth initiatives. You will work in a cross-regional team of diverse professionals and collaborate with stakeholders across different functions.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated and energetic Corporate Development Manager to join our international team of diverse professionals, to lead strategic growth, change and generic capability development initiatives. In this role, you will:

• Lead, manage or participate in project teams consisting of experts from different functions and regions


• Successfully complete business cases for new products and market strategies


• Support in the preparation of reports and presentations for management, committee meetings or external industry events


• Provide support for the identification of new business development opportunities, including M&A


• Build and maintain relationships with regional leadership and stakeholders from Sales, Products and Enabling units

As member of the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Corporate Development unit, you will be responsible for actively promoting a culture of innovation and growth through communication, training, etc. You will maintain networks with internal business experts and monitor long-term industry developments, using these to actively generate new business ideas.

About You:

• Strong financial background, with (ideally) relevant work experience in the (re)insurance industry (experience in project management, strategic and/or M&A functions a plus)


• Analytical skills: ability to analyse data, e.g. market data, processes, develop a business case and structure a business recommendation/solution accordingly


• Interpersonal/communication skills: comfortable in senior management environment; well developed relationship/networking skills; Strong social skills; ability to present ideas/challenge status quo with confidence;


• Personality: Independent; entrepreneurial; hands-on mentality; results driven; able to make decisions; pragmatic; willingness to travel


• Languages: strong English skills written and spoken, additional languages an advantage


• Background: experience in insurance/reinsurance industry; strong grasp of (commercial) insurance/reinsurance products; experience in marketing/market research and proven project management skills would be a plus


• Up to 2-3 years of professional experience in related professional area
