In this role, the successful candidate will take on the responsibility in analysing and processing all corporate actions, liaising with service and information providers, and utilizing his/her strong command of the securities market for managing and controlling high levels of risk and liability inherent in the corporate event process. The incumbent is responsible for handling moderately intricate to extremely complex corporate events for multiple entities of the group. The ideal candidate must be able to manage conflicting priorities effectively and demonstrate clear communication to internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities

  • Process corporate actions across all the stages of an event life cycle

  • Take full responsibility for adherence to all departmental procedures, policies, checkpoints and controls and ensure that any risk is spotted and dealt with in a timely manner

  • Reconcile cash and securities positions and resolve discrepancies with counterparties or custodians

  • Provide support to relationship managers (be first point of contact for all queries)

  • Ensure all allocated work is completed in a timely manner with high standards being maintained

  • Engage with new market developments and proactively seek ways to improve current processes by leveraging the tools available to identify inefficiencies

Profiles

  • BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience

  • Solid knowledge of capital markets and securities operations (2-5 years of financial services experience)

  • Strong customer service skills and values

  • Fluency in written and verbal English

  • Attention to detail / ability to prioritise work load / dedication to quality work production

  • Self-driven personality and ability to cope with pressure (able to work independently)

  • Ability to work in a fast paced high intensity environment (overtime may be required during periods of high volume)
