Strategic Planner (North America Supply Chain)


Your Key Responsibilities will include:


Lead:


Long-term capacity planning activities to ensure optimal procurement of raw materials, support streamlining of the product category portfolio and deliver the most cost efficient and responsive network for the business.


Analyses and recommendations around support for key market growth, innovations, network design/optimization and ongoing operations for North America Supply Chain.


Capacity/constraint models for supply networks. Use optimization and simulation techniques to improve existing network performance and recommending network design changes.


Collection of input from key stakeholders to build strong capabilities in long-term capacity planning.


 


Support :


Analysis, development and review of operational run strategies for manufacturing sites to deliver cost, cash and service KPI’s.


Strategic transformation projects through long-term planning, sourcing strategy and investment triggers.


Strategic Planning Manager on delivering strategic recommendations and supporting logic to managers and senior leaders in local, regional and global Supply Chain teams, Strategies teams, regional Brand Development, Logistics and Finance.


Cost savings initiatives in the areas of material efficiencies, manufacturing excellence, restructuring and logistics.


Delivery of the best possible supply chain planning processes internally to meet the overall objective of offering the best possible customer service in the end-to-end supply chain.


Drawing up proposals for expansion/optimization and overall improvement of end to end Supply chain network.


Identification, roll-out and implementation of cross-category best practices


Cross-border global sourcing needs.


 


 


 


 


Your qualifications and skills include:



  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Finance or Supply Chain

  • Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: supply chain planning (supply, demand, innovation, strategy etc.), financial planning & analysis, manufacturing, logistics, engineering and/or operations research

  • Experience of developing and/or using modelling and simulation systems preferred. Proficient in the use of MS Excel and related tools.

  • Working knowledge of planning systems is desired (SAP, Manugistics etc).

  • Basic understanding of financial principles to enable view on business impact, trade-offs and end-to-end SC impacts.

  • Able to prepare and present analyses and recommendations to managers and senior leaders to influence quick and strategically sound decision-making.

  • Can communicate ideas in a concise manner with a clear view on actions, recommendations and trade-offs.

  • APICS certification a plus. Lean/Six Sigma certification etc. a plus
