In the role of Product Environmental Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for the full range of activities generally associated with ensuring compliance with legal, environmental, industrial, and technical standards relating to semiconductor products. Working in close cooperation with various stakeholders, you will be instrumental in safeguarding product compliance, addressing customer issues, and driving processes aimed at extracting, collecting, and retaining essential knowledge within this area. Aufgaben :


- Take ownership of compliance management with regard to legal, environmental, industrial, and technical standards (REACH, SVHC, WEEE, RoHS, 3TG Conflict Minerals, IEC, JEDEC) for Swiss and Czech production plants
- Act as key point of contact for authorities, customers, and company units with regard to product compliance, including maintenance of customer/authority-specific databases and development of internal documentation structure
- Maintain close dialogue with Product Management, Process Engineering, R&D, and Sales & Customer Service at ABB Semiconductors as well as with network of subject matter experts in order to promote culture of excellence in the field of product compliance
- Track, assess, and communicate status of product compliance requirements worldwide, provide awareness and procedural training, and contribute to improvement of processes and operating procedures
- Team up with Procurement specialists to drive quality assurance of purchased materials and components in accordance with compliance-specific requirements and support maintenance, upgrade, and further improvement of HSE and Quality Management documentation systems


Anforderungen:


- Solid Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental, chemical, or technical discipline, preferably complemented by several years’ experience in the field of compliance or materials management
- Knowledge of relevant provisions relating to RoHS, REACH, SVHC, WEEE, 3TG Conflict Minerals, etc. considered advantageous
- Ability to handle standards and specification documents together with related data and high degree of proficiency in the use of MS Office applications; knowledge of SAP desirable
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to make essential information available to key stakeholders
- Fluent command of English and German, both written and spoken, preferably supplemented by additional foreign language skills, especially Czech
