We are looking for a R&D Engineer - Embedded Software to join the Wired Communication department within our Power Grids division. Based in Berne, you will become a key member in the software infrastructure team for our modular FOX615 Multiservice Platform. Aufgaben :


- Play an active role in the design of the software infrastructure for the modular FOX615 Multiservice Platform
- Define, model, and implement various software components in C/C++ being part of our multiprocessor Linux system including system programming and messaging
- Maintain build infrastructure used for continuous integration in order to secure agile development
- Ensure high software quality by using state of the art test frameworks based on modern scripting languages and by actively participating in regular code reviews
- Closely collaborate with the System Integration and Verification team to identify and solve problems at an early stage of the development process


Anforderungen:


- Solid qualifications in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology
- Hands-on experience in the field of embedded software development or software development in Telecommunications, experience in software architecture considered an advantage
- Good understanding of Linux system programming and demonstrable abilities in C++ object-oriented software development
- Knowledge of re-engineering and refactoring of large-scale software (> 3 MLOC)
- XML knowledge considered an advantage
- Agile mindset, proficiency in use of agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe – Scaled Agile Framework) considered a plus
- Willingness to take ownership and to actively contribute to the team’s success
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; French and/or German considered an advantage
