Design Engineer Application Software
Responsibilities
Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
Design, develop, code, debug and test application software
Analyse and enhance system resources
Interface with hardware design and development
Support and assure software quality
Provide post production support
Assure proper documentation of according established development process
Give technical support in discussions with stakeholders and customers
Requirements
BSc or MSc within automation, controls or related disciplines, focus on embedded control systems (with some years’ experience)
Deep knowledge best with some years’ experience in automation & controls and embedded software engineering
Knowledge of different communication protocols and interfaces
Experience in elicit requirement speciation, programming, design specification, etc.
Excellent knowledge of coding techniques, interfaces and hardware subsystems
Practical programming in C/C++, C#, .net, MATLAB/Simulink and SQL
Familiar with software configuration management tools
Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
Strong communication, documentation and writing skills
Attentive to details and self-motivated
Knowledge in project management
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
