Position Purpose & Summary This role is part of WTG Soybeanmeal Team. This role adds value to gain revenue and enhance SBM worldwide franchise by developing & executing game plan together with Team Captain and Senior Trader. Principal Accountabilities
40% High Sees Shipping Program & Risk Management
Organize and manage high seas shipping programs form worldwide origins to destinations.
Optimize Vessel size and Cargill origin/destination/quality arbitrages in order to maximize SBM global cash book;
Work closely with OT/IPS, explore new shipping models to develop new markets / customers or increase market share in current ones.
Responsible for risk management of business transactions, including contract terms and customer exposure.
Able to spot execution problems quickly and develop appropriate solutions
30% Global Product Line Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with Cargill origins on logistical planning around the positions of plants, ports, and inbound pipelines.
Work closely with Cargill destinations to discover and meet customer needs.
Lead customer segmentation & strategy as well as relationship development.
Supports and advises members of the Cargill global team on trading strategies
30% Trading & Analysis
Work together with global teams to analyze markets and trade flows to build and maintain S/D’s.
Backup the senior trader and trading assistant.
Together with SBM team, work closely with Quant teams to develop new trading models and quant metrics to analyze markets.
Together with SBM team, trade global SBM cash, options and futures markets as well as ocean freight.
Qualifications
3-5 years of Grains or Oilseeds trading experience with solid track record.
Be able to work effectively in a small integrated team and collaborate & provide leadership to the global SBM product line.
Good counterparty risk management knowledge and experience;
Proven customer experience and able to develop and gather deep customer insights.
Basic understanding of futures, spreads, options, and commodity derivatives.
Basic ocean freight knowledge.
Basic understanding of non-fundamentals/quant trading and implications to our markets to further build/expand
Good communication skill.
Good leadership skills relative to the experience level with capacity to further build/expand.
Solid computer and organization skills related to S/D analysis, logistics, P/l, etc.
Innovative and creative skills of being able to identify & solve problems.
Able to represent the company inside and outside.
