For our location in Bern, we are looking for a:


SAP Change/Release Manager


The purpose of the SAP Change/Release Manager role is to Supervise and oversee all of the IT activities and operations associated with the prioritization, planning and release deployment of changes to PACE applications. 


Key responsibilities:



  • Monitoring and reporting on the resolution status of Incidents and Service Requests.

  • Coordinating the facilitation and execution the Transport & Deployment Management process for SAP Releases.

  • Working with the various projects/teams in the release to coordinate and plan the technical deployments of the various solutions and third-party applications.

  • Supporting the projects/teams on SAP Transports and Tools including Solution Manager Quality Gate Management (QGM) and Change Request Management (ChaRM).

  • Working with the Functional and Development teams to support SAP Transports including organization/bundling, dual maintenance/retrofit and object conflict issue resolution.

  • Working with the Cutover Team to plan and execute the release and import of SAP Transports during the cutover rehearsals, go-live and hyper-care phases of the release.

  • Working with the Testing Team to plan and execute the regression testing for each release.

  • Providing  KPIs and metrics to senior management of performance against current SLAs.

  • Role that this position reports to: Sr. Manager SAP Release Management
     

  • Roles that report directly to this position: None

    • Roles that report indirectly to this position: Global Technology Leads, Deployment Leads, Service Desk Managers, Technology Analysts, Business Analysts


  • Accountable for planning, scheduling and controlling daily operations within Business Technology (BT) functional area, including staff, resource scheduling and work prioritization

  • Accountable for the implementation of solutions in the areas mentioned according to the BT Quality System (QMS) and applicable standards.  Follow the appropriate global regulatory guidelines such as 21CFR part 11, 210, 211 and cGMP.

  • Monitors projects and activities, related to accountable areas, to ensure implementation in adherence with scope, time and budget. 

  • May perform matrix management and project roles.

  • Collaborates with other BT management counter parts to proactively communicate the status of ongoing and upcoming BT services to key stakeholders.

  • Provides off hours support as it relates to BT functional area. 

  • Identifies opportunities and design solutions that continuously extract value from business applications. 

  • Accountable for ensuring global standards, processes, quality management systems are followed during releases.

  • Knowledge of computer system testing/validation required.

  • Project Management experience required.

  • Working Knowledge of cGxP, FDA & EMEA Regulations governing validated applications including 21CFR Part 11

  • Previous international work experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills required.

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; educational concentration in IT, science or engineering is preferred.


  • 5+ years of experience in IT working within an applicable function that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position,including 2+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.


  • Experience with ITIL framework and IT Service Management Processes and Tools. 


  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products, such as Project, PowerPoint and Visio

  • Experience with SAP Change and Release Management Tools (preferable Solution Manager ChaRM)

  • System Development Lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall)

  • Financial, Project and Vendor Management

  • Design management and Test & Validation

  • Requirements Gathering

  • Fluent spoken and written English skills.
