Actelion is a leader in the field of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Our portfolio of PAH treatments covers the spectrum of disease, from WHO Functional Class (FC) II through to FC IV, with oral, inhaled and intravenous medications.
Job Responsibilities
Play an active role within the deployment of a new ERP and related processes
Manage holding and principal company financials, including special transactions
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes for entities in scope
Perform analytical account reviews - Maintain and review role, user setup and trial balance proof before QTBS submission in Blackline
Perform BS-75 collection and reporting process
Complete and support legal reporting with CTC
Maintain FX revaluation rates for automated runs
Coordinate walkthroughs and data collection for internal and external audits
Update internal processes documentation
Review and streamline internal processes (continuous improvements)
Perform annual review and analysis of approval thresholds, document type analysis and critical accounts assessment
Coordinate record retention within Finance
Partner with R&D organization for actual and forecast cycles and ensure alignment
Establish strong collaboration and alignment with all relevant stakeholders COEs
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements
Education:
University degree (Master/Bachelor) in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent
Job experience:
Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Financial Accountant within a pharmaceutical company, including business planning, accounting and analysis
Skills:
Good team player, open communication, both verbally and in writing
Customer focused and ability to build strong collaboration
Ability to work pro-actively, independently
Pro-active, flexible, stress resistant, accurate and results oriented
Takes personal ownership and full accountability for results
Sense of urgency and ability to take appropriate action
Good knowledge of excel, reporting systems and knowledge of SAP
