Considering the extensive work load in the HV lab as well as product development initiatives related to stator windings and functional materials the technology team must be reinforced. This to secure business continuity for OTR projects and NPI/NTI programs. The Lead Engineer will be responsible to run the HV test lab facilities, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and support product development activities such as material testing.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead testing activities in the high voltage lab
Tender preparation, manage expenses, launch purchase orders and invoicing
Plan overall test activities for OTR projects, customer acceptance and NPI programs
Perform tests in accordance with international standards
Ensure all EHS requirements and local regulations are always met,
Manage customer acceptance tests,
Interface with Global Engineering teams and customer,
Document test results and write test reports,
Ensure calibration of test equipment in accordance to standards
Contribute to product development activities
Support definition and coordinate special tests,
Follow material testing at suppliers,
Contribute to the definition of design instructions, material and product specifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
Certified to run an electrical HV test facility,
Capable to manage and perform tests autonomous,
Knows characteristic and requirements of stator windings of electrical machines,
German and English fluent in spoken and written,
Electrical Engineer BSc degree,
Understands the importance of service attitude (being available to the customer, responsive to internal and external customer’s needs,
Knows capability and limits of HV test facilities, ability to find optimum solutions following project priorities.
