Inspiring us to create warm and sophisticated experiences for those seeking a richer perspective on the world.Each of our hotels cultivates a distinctive style and ambience where we embrace every opportunity to give our guests a personal and enriching experience.If you'd like to embrace a wider world of experiences and opportunities, we'd like to welcome you to the world's most international luxury hotel brand.The avant-garde InterContinental Geneva embodies the refreshing, elevated perspective on luxury art de vivre in the world’s City of Peace.Your day to dayJoin us as the Head Chef of InterContinental Geneva.Reporting directly to the hotel manager, your main duties will be :• Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities according to the brand standards• Constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings• Approving and “polishing” dishes before they reach the customer• Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages with the Purchasing department and according to our procedures• Be in charge of the budget• Arrange for repairs when necessary• Remedy any problems or defects• Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff• Oversee the work of subordinates• Estimate staff’s workload and compensations• Maintain records of payroll and attendance• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards• Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-oworkersWhat we need from youWith a higher education in Culinary arts, you have a successful experience at least of 5 years as a Head Chef within a hotel of the same category and capacity. You perfectly manage and control the respect of the HACCP. You are at ease with the IT tools.You are fluent in English and French, a third language is highly desirable.Curious,people and results oriented, you are well-known for the high quality of your work and your involvement in your daily tasks. Passionate and open to the different types of cooking you are willing to share your knowledge and skills with your team and your colleagues.
