We are currently recruiting an experienced Product Manager to join our European Marketing team for the Vascular Maintenance and Care portfolio within the Vascular Access Management team in our Medication Delivery Solutions business in Eysins, Switzerland.



As European Product Manager, you will be responsible to develop and drive the BD Vascular Access Management portfolio strategy for Maintenance and Care (Dressings, Securement and Needle Free Connectors) in Europe and achieve the desired financial performance through comprehensive and timely market development, portfolio management and execution of key marketing strategies and programs. You will also be responsible for managing the value proposition, service offering and portfolio life cycle to optimize market penetration and share of category, in line with worldwide priorities and supporting the Vascular Access management strategic direction.

Job Description


Key responsibilities include:



  • Develop deep customer and market insight (Voice of the customer) to enable fact-based decisions and guide strategy and execution

  • Provide in-depth knowledge on market trends and size, key influencers and competition

  • Drives marketing and commercial excellence including supporting global product development efforts and driving launch excellence, market specific strategies and coordinating launch activities with all relevant stakeholders

  • Develop market specific strategies and tactics to ensure that the BD  Vascular Maintenance and Care portfolio is well positioned for success, including providing clear direction on the relevant value and positioning to drive market development and category share gains

  • Guide market shaping activities working with other regional, global and local stakeholders

  • Develop Key Performance Indicators/ metrics to track marketing effectiveness of portfolio and programs

  • Drive implementation of European strategies including pricing, positioning and platform programmes aligned with the overall Vascular Access Management strategic direction and global portfolio direction.

  • Contribute to the Marketing Planning processes building strong plans and championing it to other stakeholders

  • Develop pricing strategies in accordance with the BD overall company objectives and goals – same as above.

  • Collaborate and work effectively with the Global Platform; European marketing and with the country teams to support strategic imperatives and go to market approaches across the portfolio

  • Engage cross-functional teams, such as clinical, regulatory, supply chain, public policy and work with Global Platform Teams to drive and support relevant growth projects and provide key information to develop targeted strategies and tactical plans

  • Develop and maintain expert market and portfolio knowledge and support country teams with relevant portfolio information and training initiatives as appropriate

  • Provide regular forecast and budget inputs and monitor and address business and marketing indicators


About you


To deliver the results that we are looking for, we need a professional educated to degree-level (Bachelor’s degree, MBA, Life-Science degree preferred), with a strong International or European experience in the healthcare environment, including proven marketing experience (3-5 Years) with a track record of driving sustainable growth. You have a proven track record in launching new products or category. You have the ability to lead strategically, drive performance and build alignment. Commercially aware, you have excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.


In addition, you have the ability to turn customers’ insights in actionable plans. You take ownership of tasks and get things done, as well as being accountable and willing to make decisions. You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change. You work well with teams and you are able to influence without authority, using relationships and networks within a matrix organization to influence strategies within the region and at a global level. You have a desire for self-development to further advance your career. You are perfectly fluent in English. Finally, you are willing to travel regularly, up to 40% of the time.
