Postdoctoral Fellow

Electronic structure of transition metal dimers and small clusters

Your tasks

• Investigations of transition metal dimers and small clusters in a molecular beam environment by applying non-linear and linear spectroscopic laser techniques


• Optimization and preparation of the laser vaporization source for future soft-X-ray experiments at the AMO (atomic, molecular and optical) endstation of the SwissFEL Athos beamline


• Participate in the design and commissioning of the AMO instrument at SwissFEL


• Develop expertise on XFEL cluster experiments

Your profile

• PhD degree in physics, chemistry or a related field


• Expertise with ns pulsed lasers, vacuum technology and gas phase spectroscopy 


• Good knowledge of English is mandatory


• Knowledge on cluster generation by applying laser-vaporization sources and experience in XFEL experimental techniques would be beneficial
