R&D Internship Applied Machine Learning for Defect Recognition in Images
Your Profile
MSc or BSc student specializing in data science, computer science, information technology or engineering
Good programming skills in Python
Experience in machine learning or image processing techniques a plus
Strong German or English skills
Your Responsibilities
Working at Sensirion allows you to tackle an array of exciting challenges every day. Set new standards in the field of sensor technology as part of a highly motivated interdisciplinary team. Your future supervisor, Andreas (Process Engineer), explains what you can expect from the internship.
What are the specific tasks?
Automatic optical inspection systems play an important role in quality and process control in the semiconductor industry. Part of your task would be to examine how these systems can be improved using machine learning technology. You would use Python and a variety of packages to classify optical defects and help improve existing production systems. You would have the opportunity to work with real production data and learn about the challenges in a modern semiconductor environment.
What are the daily challenges?
As a member of the Process Engineering team, your work would have a direct impact on our production performance. Any improvements will be benchmarked against the existing process before being released. During the internship, you will also be introduced to optical inspection and packaging processes.
