For our location in Bern (Switzerland) we are looking for an experienced

Manager Process Analytics and Technology (PAT)

In this exciting and challenging position, you are responsible for the development and optimization of processes for the manufacturing of plasma-derived biotherapeutics. As an empowering and partnering team leader of a highly professional team of scientists, you ensure and supervise process development, scale-up and technology transfer from development to commercial manufacturing processes for local and global projects.

In details, your responsibilities include:

• Close collaboration with mid and upper Management within Manufacturing, Process Development and the Pilot Plant department locally and globally


• Maintain an environment that fosters team work, collaboration and innovation in addition to transparent and timely communication with others internally (up, down and laterally) and externally


• Leading and being part of local and global process development projects from early stage development up to life cycle management


• Contribute to the development of PAT strategies with manufacturing and research partners


• Identify process improvement capabilities, including process optimization and state of the art process analytical technologies


• Empowering team leadership of strong professionals on a partner level, including a solid resource planning and staff allocation to projects and providing technical expertise


• Generating, reviewing and approving technical reports and regulatory documents for health authority submissions


• Assessment of local and global changes and deviations

The following competencies will help you to be successful in this role:

• University degree (Master or PhD) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Process Engineering or a related field


• A minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in process engineering or process development, ideally in a complex and multinational environment


• Ideally possess broad understanding of PAT technologies, concepts and principles


• Strong and proven scientific background in protein sciences and demonstrated ability in leading highly effective teams


• Strong experience in project management and analytical thinking


• excellent communication and analytical skills


• Strong planning and organizational skills


• Proven managerial experience within project oriented, multidisciplinary and multicultural environments


• Excellent written and spoken language skills in German, good written and spoken language skills in English
