The Information Security Group of Prof. Dr. David Basin, the Network Security Group of Prof. Dr. Adrian Perrig and the Programming Methodology Group of Prof. Dr. Peter Müller, all at the Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich, are looking for aResearch Programmer for the SCION secure Internet Architecture SCION naturally prevents attacks and provides a high level of availability, scalability, path control, and fault isolation. We are redefining the world of inter-domain routing, and looking for highly motivated, skilled and committed individuals to help us realize this vision. The main duties of this position are working with collaborators on the implementation of SCION routers, servers, and gateways; assist in conducting of testing, and evaluation of our SCION prototype, using local testbed resources and our real-world SCIONLab testbed as well as contributing to documentation. The starting date is as soon as possible. We seek individuals with most or all of the following skills: A BSc or advanced degree in computer science, engineering or relevant work experience; experience in the design, implementation, and testing of large-scale systems with particular attention to security, scalability, and high-performance implementation; experience in the administration of Unix systems, and the management of networks of machines; knowledge of low-level networking, and Linux network internals as well as the programming languages: Go and C/C++.
