Provides analysis and benchmarking for region and proposes changes to ensure Alcon's benefit plans are competitive and best address needs of local workforce. Provides global benefits governance for benefit changes and additions within region. Stays informed of laws and regulations benefits in region and works with local Human Resources to assess needed changes. Manages international insurance pools and administration of global benefit plans applicable to all non-US countries. Manages activities of global consultant/broker within region; coordinates with global actuary for activities within region.



• Provides strategic benefits analysis and recommends changes in coordination with country HR • Leads pension and retirement plan implementation and changes in region with local HR and benefit vendors. • Assists country HR with implementation of benefit changes as needed • Stays abreast of legal/statutory requirements and changes in region that impact benefits and employment • Oversight for global benefits governance and benchmarking within region • Oversight of global consultant/broker within region; assist with coordination of local projects • Manages global benefit programs applicable to all non-US sites, including coordination of contract renewals, plan changes and management of service issues with vendors, including: o CIGNA International Health Plan for international assignees o International Pension Plan (IPP) oversight o Global Business Travel Accident insurance plan o ISOS Emergency Medical assistance plans • Oversight for administration of Umbrella Retirement Plan and Global Retirement Policy • Manages international benefits pooling providers as applicable to region, in coordination with finance. Manages global annual dividend process and distribution, if applicable. • Assists countries with renewal or marketing of local plans within region and contract negotiations • Maintains oversight of all non-US DC and DB retirement plans globally; tracks financial status of plans in coordination with Treasury, Finance and actuaries. Coordinates with Benefits counterparts in other regions regarding retirement plans in their region. Maintains consolidated dashboard of all retirement plans and presents overview annually. • Assists with evaluation and implementation of benefits-related administration systems in region • Assists with benefit analysis, harmonization, or other benefit activities related to M&A’s • Assists with communication related to global benefit plans • Assists with country-specific benefit communication when needed due to changes. • Supports HR on employee-specific benefit issues related to recruitment, transfers and terminations.Minimum requirementsBachelor’s degree; Preferred: Master's Degree in Business Administration, International Business or related field The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English. Multi-lingual capability highly desirable. 10 or more years experience with multi-country benefits design/administration/consulting.
