Continuous Improvement Lead – Your future position?


 


 


As a Continuous Improvement Lead, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives on the Vernier site. In this role reporting directly to the local Head of Operations, you will act as a Continuous Improvement partner for local Operations management team and will actively contribute to embed best practices and reinforce the continuous improvement mind-set. You will manage the local Continuous Improvement team.


 


In this exciting opportunity, your main responsibilities will be the following:


 



  • Strategy design and execution: you will actively contribute to the design of local Operations strategies by advising on execution of key CI initiatives. You will ensure alignment between global and local CI strategy and implementation.


 



  • Continous Improvement Management: you will be responsible for defining local CI programs and identify change improvement opportunities in collaboration with site leadership. You will ensure alignment in priorities and related actions and will support site teams in executing improvement initiatives. You will coordinate Lead certification standards with the Site Operations management and measure the level of achievement. Finally, you will develop and leverage internal and external Lean network to capture best practices and recommend and implement these within the organization.


 



  • Project Management: you will be responsible for leading selected black belt projects on site. You will track implementation progress of CI projects and will monitor resource plans, project team accountabilities, change requests, deadlines and milestones and will manage periodic updates to project stakeholders. Finally, you will coach project managers and teams on applying Lean and Six Sigma concepts and tools during solution design and project execution phases.


 



  • Change management and Capability building: you will provide advice to CI and Project Managers in developing change management roadmaps. You will also assess local capability gaps and develop and implement solutions with the Site Operations management to close those gaps (e.g. trainings, resources changes etc).


 



  • People Management: you will conduct the annual HR processes for the CI team. You will work closely with the Operations senior management team and HR Business Partners in developing a global talent pipeline in CI and Operations, and will drive the development and promotion of identified talents.

Your professional profile includes:


 



  • As a mandatory prerequisite, you hold a Lean Certification (Green Belt – Black Belt a plus) ;

  • A University Degree in Engineering or related discipline (Master preferred) ;

  • Overall work experience of 7 to 10 years in Continuous Improvement (incl. at least 3 years in a Lean implementation role) ;

  • 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in people management ;

  • Good knowledge of product processing and industrialization processes ;

  • Good command in project management using TPM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Performance management (KPIs structures), Strategy deployment (x-matrix, OIP) and project controlling tools ;

  • Good command in stakeholder management and communication ;

  • Ability to energize and lead cross-functional teams around a project.
