autonomy and organizing skills , you will be organizing and running pilot plant trials to translate scientific concepts into food product prototypes, ensuring safety and good manufacturing practices in the pilot plant.
 
Key responsibilities
 

  • Advise project managers, scientists and laboratory technicians in selecting the appropriate technology and equipment to produce food product prototypes.

  • Organize daily planning of trials & coordinate work of other pilot plant technicians as trial responsible.

  • Defining the trials plan and manage trials in cooperation with the requestor from beginning to end (preparation of raw material and equipment / execution / cleaning / documentation / shipment of samples).

  • Document the trials in internal software and database

  • Equipment failure diagnostic and 1st level maintenance

  • Be proactive in technology: propose modifications and improvement of equipment, in collaboration with the technical workshop / scout and test new technologies.

  • Ensure safety and food safety procedures are respected. 


Education and experience  

  • Technical degree related to food or pharmaceutical product (apprenticeship Technologue Denrées Alimentaire, Maîtrise Fédérale ,or ES or BTS/DUT)

  • Min 5 years’ experience in R&D environment or production

  • Strong knowledge in technologies

  • Up to date knowledge ofquality, safety and environment requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English and French
