Application Specialist (m/f)

Duties


  • Validation, test and optimization of Digital Sense (DS) machines and applications before market introduction (e.g. scales, dosing, packing, sensing)

  • Application trials of DS machines for new customer applications (e.g. product testing, bag testing)

  • Maintain database of validation results and customer trials

  • Point of contact, planning and support for customers visiting Bühler to conduct join trials.

  • Support technology solutions for single machines and packing lines according to customer requirements across a range of markets

  • Support business areas in engineering and technology questions

  • Sales support for single machine business and complex packing lines including reviewing customer quotations

  • Provide input to and collaborate with R&D to develop new products, technologies and applications

  • Coaching and training of technology, sales and quotation staff
Qualifications


  • Technical apprenticeship e.g. Mechanic or Electrical

  • Minimum 3 years in Technology department or Site construction or equivalent

  • Basic knowledge in 2D and 3D engineering tools

  • Fluent German and a good standard of spoken and written English essential, additional languages are an asset

  • Able to prepare documentation, reports and presentations to a professional standard using MS Office applications

  • Willingness to travel for application trials, technology discussions or other sales support on customer site (<10%)

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain professional standards

  • Teamplayer with the ability to work independently
