To complement the occupational health team, ifa (Institute of Occupational Medicine) is
looking for an:


Occupational Health Nurse /
Specialist in Workplace Health Management
English - French / 80%


Availability: immediate or to define


Location: Geneva


The Institute of occupational medicine, ifa (Institut für Arbeitsmedizin), is a leader
organisation in the area of health at work in Switzerland. Working since 20 years with all
kind of companies, ifa currently represents more than 100 employees.
Our client, an international company, wants to develop a service of health at work for its
social headquarters in Geneva. The main part of the employees are English-speakers and a
minor part are locals. Our client has the ambition to create an occupational health service
integrated to the EHS team.


Main responsibilities :



  • Identify the risks compromising health at work. Analyse the absence figures, develop
    indicators and prevention campaigns / health promotion.

  • In collaboration with the provider of medical assistance, prevent problems related to
    work travelling, develop awareness and support tools, organise a coherent program
    including medical checks.

  • Conduct interviews for returns of long sick leaves.

  • Develop analysis and awareness tools for ergonomics.

  • Propose and develop prevention, promotion and training actions related to
    occupational health (vaccination, on boarding days, medical checks, …)

  • Coordination of first aid system with Samaritans and rescuers on site.


Background :



  • Nursing license level II or bachelor in nursing with a specialization in occupational
    health. A training in workplace health management and in travel medicine would be
    an advantage.

  • 5 years experience as a nurse, ideally in occupational health.

  • Knowledge of the Swiss legislation about health at work.

  • At ease with data analysis (absence figures), reports writing and implementation of
    programs/projects.

  • Strong communication skills: clear messages, persuasive powers and creation of a
    climate of confidence.

  • Networking and coordination skills.

  • Autonomy and proactive attitude.

  • Excellent skills with usual informatics tools.

  • Languages: fluency in English and French (both oral and written, it’s a deal-breaker
    criterion); knowledge of German or Swiss-German would be an advantage.
