Your job
The great things you will be expected to do:
Is a key stakeholder with our partner and all teams to operationalize the catering food program
Designs, manages and owns the overall catering experience
Drives a culture of excellence throughout the business
Has a passion for quality and innovative food preparation and taste
Oversees all partner, sector and Compass driven catering initiatives
Manages and mentors toward business goals, ensuring the maturation and training of team and management
Manages all P & L, budgeting, financial analysis and drives efficiencies throughout.
Self starter that enjoys building own business and creating opportunities for growth
Ensures all Compass employee guidelines are implemented and adhered to
Creates a culture of Food and Workplace Safety
Grows new business and/or revitalizes existing operations with new food programs, merchandising, equipment, etc

Meets all timelines for quarter and year-end reports given by our partner and Sector Employer
Your profile
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of four (4) years college education; Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Hotel/Restaurant or Business Management is preferred. A minimum of 10-15 years of industry experience in place of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years management experience supervising teams.
Multi-dimensional catering, events or hotel experience a must
Ability to take complex business issues or initiatives and apply creative problem solving or strategies for timely implementation
Ability to effectively communicate, motivate and interact with all levels within the organization
Strong passion for innovation, operational excellence, great food and hospitality
A proven track record as an innovative and financially responsible manager
Proven ability to enhance profitability, sustainability and creativity across all channels in alignment with business strategy
Experience growing, expanding and maturing a business
A proven track record of leadership
Proven industry contacts and relationships that can be leveraged in networking and recruitment of other team members
Proven coaching and teaching skills with peers, individuals, and teams
Ability to speak and present effectively in a group setting to Associates, Managers and our partner and represent the Brand
Maintain a positive attitude under pressure and motivate team
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Working knowledge of Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Role Summary:
The Director of Catering is the key partner to the Food Team for strategy, program development, financial management, and executing a culture of excellence in the service and experience of the in-house Catering Operation. Specifically, the position will be focused on shaping the work environment to execute exceptional service, setting business strategy, sales forecasting, budgeting
P & L accountability, achieving sales targets and developing sales strategy accordingly, allocating resources, developing team, scaling the organization with growth, and overseeing operations. Identifies, motivates, trains, develops and directs team to deliver exceptional results and accomplish goals and projects.
The Director of Catering will focus on all aspects of the Catering program in order to support operational excellence. Sets the standard for all of operations and systems.
