Your main responsibilities:

• Development of new individual process steps and complete assembly processes, in particular thin film processing, liquid dispensing, sealing and bonding, automation


• Feasibility studies and performance tests of prototypes targeted for mass production


• Contineously improving the yield and throughput by understanding the root causes from a material science and process perspective


• Quality assurance using statistical control methods and process parameter oprtimization


• Design, qualify and install new and improved production and test equipment


• Tracebility and integration of process into production managentment environment


• Process documentation and training of co-workers on the new processes


• Collaboration with project leaders and multidisciplinary engineers to create new products

Qualifications:

• BSc/MSc degree in material science, micro engineering, physics, or equivalent


• Experience in process development preferably in high volume environment


• Knowledge of MEMS, polymers, lab-on-chip and dispensing technologies highly regarded


• Familiarity with FMEA, Gage R&R, DOE, SPC and other statistical modeling


• Open-minded for challenging ideas in dynamic environments with changing priorities


• Analytical thinking, proactive, and autonomous and hands-on


• Good knowledge of English (proficiency), German is advantageous
