Manager, Global Parts Forecasting & Planning


 


Position purpose:


This role will lead AGCO’s Global Parts Forecasting & Planning Team at our European Headquarter based in Neuhausen/Switzerland. The Global Parts Forecasting and Planning manager organizes and leads the operation of the Forecasting and Planning team to provide the most accurate forecast and planning to ensure customer service levels are achieved while minimizing inventory and ensuring that the right part, in the right quantity, at the right place, at the right time is delivered to the customer


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • You will provide direction to support strong customer service levels and service goals through accurate forecasts

  • Plan supply strategies throughout the product life cycle that support financial, operational and customer satisfaction business objective

  • Support team to maintain ongoing communication with regions to understand the customers and competitive market conditions

  • Identify and incorporate product knowledge, dealer profiles, seasonality and regional/local conditions to enhance forecasting capabilities and provide refined forecast adjustments that reflect the changes in the market

  • To act as the supply chain lead in respect of ensuring non-flow (abnormal) demand is managed according to defined internal processes

  • To lead ad hoc projects in the supply chain that do not necessary sit within the field of forecasting or planning


 


Requirements:



  • University’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience; APICS CPIM or MBA is a plus

  • At least 5-7 years working experience in forecasting, demand planning, inventory planning or materials management in an industry related to AGCO (automotive, heavy truck, machinery, etc.)

  • People management experience of at least 3-5 years

  • Strong process-driven philosophy

  • Strong personality able to deal with external and internal conflict

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply standard analytical concepts and forecasting methodology

  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts

  • Demonstrated understanding that abstract models are not 100% robust and must be implemented in parallel with strong processes

  • Solid understanding of integrated supply chain (customer service, procurement, purchasing, warehousing, transportation and logistics)

  • Strong working knowledge of demand planning tools or equivalent system (e.g. Servigistics PTC SPM or SAP APO)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with heavy and uneven workloads and deadlines

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word as well as Access

  • High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel up to 40%

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and at preferably another European language (ideally German, French or Portuguese)
