2019-05-31Mittleres Management / Senior ManagementThe mission of the Manager of the Global Product management team owns the strategic offering growth plan for the Substation Service Business. As a Global Product Management Manager for Substation Systems Services, your responsibility is lead the business strategy definition, translate customer / market requirements into a hunting service offering portfolio, and manage associated portfolio planning, investment and development activity. You will lead a team of 3 talents in order to meet global results. He/She leads the proactive strategy of the business growth, owns the definition and initiation of the remodeled offering and capability profile of the business. Unlocking the market transformational potential will be the key growth driver for this business going forward.
- Leadership of a high profile / high performance future talent team within HR policies.
- Strongly focus on people and team development to develop leadership competence and strategic business acumen.
- Own market / segment analytics: Total market sizing, target market / target segment definition, segment specific value driver identification and verification
- Own competitor (and own value chain participants) analysis and tracking, identify risks, opportunities. Derive and propose strategic partnership strategies.
- Offering / capability portfolio: Segment specific service offering development, gap analysis, benchmarking, portfolio performance tracking and adaptation (growth / profitability)
- Own the offering development and R&D programs / ensuring solid business planning incl. investment proposals and true-up
- Owning the portfolio structure, communication and promotion within the ABB framework
- Define the go-to market strategy and commercialization model
- Owning the strategic iteration with and training of the business sales & operational teams
- Actively supporting sales and BD in capturing new segments / customers
- Co-define localization, footprint, and capability development.
To be successful in the role you have a 10 year+ business experience in the global power / grids / infrastructure business, ideally including customer service. You hold an engineering degree and ideally an MBA. Your experience includes a marketing / strategy / product management role. You burn to shape a winning franchise by addressing the market dynamics in the Power Grids space including the digital transformation.
You are well familiar with working in a multinational corporation. Previous experience of managing teams is mandatory. Furthermore, the role sets high standards on stakeholder management, intercultural sensitivity and the ability to independently drive your portfolio and a team of highly talented individuals. Strong communication skills, loyalty and compliance rigor round up your profile.
