For the Strategic Competence Center “Industry Services” within Karger Labs, the Karger division
focused on strategy, innovation and product development, we are looking for a motivated person to
join our increasingly agile organization as a

Strategic Competence Specialist, Industry Services (80–100%)

This multifaceted role includes:

• Supporting the Strategic Competence Lead in the development of product structures and
  processes to capture and leverage the complex and multi-layered relationships with the industry,
  across all internal and external stakeholders.


• Controlling, co-developing and communicating the entire product and service portfolio of Karger
  Publishers for the industry (in cooperation with other divisions within the company)


• Integrating needs and possible value propositions from all relevant internal divisions


• P roviding appropriate processes and tools that enable higher-level control and monitoring of the
  Industry Services business.


• Optional: Pre-sales/project management meetings with key accounts as support and regular
  international travel activities

Qualifications and experience required:

• Graduated commercial apprenticeship and/or University degree or similar education


• P rofessional training and experience in medical/scientific publishing and/or the healthcare
  industry (Pharma, MedTech, related life sciences)


• S everal years of relevant work experience in a similar function


• Strong conceptual and analytical skills


• Highly service – and goal orientated with a strong sense of responsibility and aptitude in
  integrating the needs of various stakeholders


• A “getting things done” mentality and strong communication and inter-personal skills


• E xcellent IT knowledge (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• English and German: very good, both written and spoken (additional languages a plus)
