Your mission

Your main missions will be the design and simulation of parts for the fabrication by Additive Manufacturing (AM), the fabrication of parts using different methods of AM, the AM process development and optimization as well as the characterization of materials through different methods.

You will also:

• Maintain and run the laboratory facilities


• Prepare the 3D Designs and printing files


• Perform the prototyping


• Perform the mechanical testing and characterization as well as failures analysis


• Prepare scientific reports and papers


• Collaborate for maintaining the high performances of available facilities

Your profile

• A PhD in Material Science or Mechanical Engineering (or any other related fields)


• Demonstrated expertise and research experience in Additive Manufacturing (polymers and/or metals and alloys)


• Experience in mechanical testing and materials characterization


• Experience in formulation and development of novel materials for Additive Manufacturing


• Knowledge in programming and using MATLAB, CAD and FEA


• Demonstrated experiences in testing and microstructural evaluation


• High level of scientific integrity, rigor and excellence with regard to experimental methodology, analysis of data and scientific/technical reporting


• Ability to work autonomously while being a good team player willing to perform and develop within a team


• Creative and innovative mindset


• Fluency in English and/or French
