Why we are recruiting The Centre for the New Economy and Society aims to build dynamic and inclusive economies and systems in a context of accelerated technological and political change. It provides leaders with a platform to understand and anticipate emerging economic and social trends and to adapt policies and practices to a rapidly evolving context. It integrates the Forum’s System Initiative on the Future of Economic Progress and the System Initiative on the Future of Education, Gender and Work, and serves as a hub for the most relevant insights and pioneering actions in these domains. These positions are an integral component of the centre. 
Reporting lines and interactions We are currently recruiting two Insights Lead roles for the centre’s Frontier Insights Practice sub-team. This practice is dedicated to developing cutting-edge knowledge with the explicit purpose of tackling emerging issues that require new forms of thinking and consensus building. The work of the sub-team is often in collaboration with external stakeholders and Forum partners. Over the next year, the work of one Insight Lead will focus primarily on a project dedicated to skills data and taxonomies and building a community of appropriate partners in this space. The other Insight Lead will focus on issues related to the platform economy and the new social contract. The Insight Leads will guide a portfolio of projects beyond those currently defined. Both leads will report directly to the Head of Frontier Insights Practice, and will work closely with other sub-team members and the wider centre team. 
The successful candidate will be assessed on: • Leading the development of quantitative and qualitative frontier insight products on emerging issues in the economic and social agendas• Analysing and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data in support of insight product development• Developing a strong pipeline of new topic areas to address through the frontier insights practice in collaboration with centre colleagues and external constituents, building a portfolio of Forum-led, co-led and externally-led insight products• Developing and managing the communities associated with each project in the portfolio, synthesizing multiple views• Managing the smooth delivery of services from external providers (graphic designers, editors, developers and data visualization experts) for publications• Working across multiple internal and external teams, including onsite and remote contributors and secondees from partner companies who support the centre’s activities• Developing a strong understanding of the Forum’s mission and regularly monitor relevant global developments in areas pertinent to global social and economic agendas, and the intersections between them 
Preferred requirements and experience • Advanced university degree in research, data analysis, economics, public policy or other relevant field• 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally across multiple sectors and diverse geographies• Outstanding skills in data processing and analysis are particularly important for one role while research, synthesis and publishing experience is a strong advantage for the other• Excellent project management, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, coordination and collaboration skills; capacity to manage self, and navigate ambiguity• Proven interest and intellectual curiosity in the areas covered by the centre’s mission, especially inclusive economic growth, new social contracts, financial markets, human capital, and a high degree of comfort with interdisciplinary and experimental approaches• Capacity to apply critical thinking, synthesize various viewpoints, consult broadly, work collaboratively in a team and manage both long- and short-term objectives• Outstanding command of written and spoken English; knowledge of other languages would be an asset
