Description générale The “Tdh” Foundation introduced ICTs for development in its field projects in early 2010, especially projects related to health and protection programs. In health sector, the IeDA (Integrated e-Diagnostic Approach) project (www.ieda-project.org) has gained a considerable dimension with a large-scale deployment in Burkina Faso of 720 health and Primary Health Centers (PHCs)), almost 4 million consultations and an acceptation rate by Front-line Health Workers (FHWs) over 90%. The aim of the project is to diagnosis and treat the most important diseases that cause almost 80 out of one thousand of the children under five deaths in Burkina Faso. We are looking for a PhD student who will work with a team to support our IeDA team in Burkina Faso with insights gained from analyzing IeDA data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for health process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve medical outcomes in the field.
